NIC Chile installs two new name servers for .CL in Mexico
NIC Chile informs that two new dedicated servers providing DNS service for .CL domain names are now in operation. Located in Monterrey, Mexico, they are part of two anycast clouds, under direct control of NIC Chile. The servers are hosted on Data Centers under administration by "NIC Mexico", the .MX ccTLD operator.
In this way, the network of servers for .CL which NIC Chile manages directly, is now present in 3 regions outside of Chile: Europe (Czech Republic and Denmark); North America (USA and Mexico) and South America (Brazil and Peru); in addition to 7 nodes distributed over 3 cities in Chile, that cover almost all the domestic internet service providers (ISP).
Additional DNS service for .CL are provided by agreements and contracts with prestigious external organizations, such as ISC, NETNOD (Autonomica) and Packet Clearing House.
With the operation of these new nameservers, NIC Chile continues to improve the robustness and response time of the network of servers that resolve domain names for .CL worldwide.
See .CL nameservers map (in spanish).
