Domain registration
Domain applications are entered through a
web form.
Also through email (seldom used nowadays).
Reply is sent by email containing
acknowledgement and request to send by fax:
a signed statement accepting the rules governing domain
registrations, and
a photocopy of the applicant's ID (National ID card for
individuals, Chilean Tax ID for institutions).
Upon reception of faxed document,
the domain is activated immediately on a trial basis.
The bill is printed and sent by
private
mail to applicant, payable in offices located throughout the country.
The application is published in the web
page of NIC Chile for 30 days. During these 30 days the applicant must
submit documentation and pay. The registration is not final until this
period has passed.
